What does an anamorphic lens do?

This picture shows what you normally get when watching a 2.35 image without a lens on a 16:9 screen. Notice the large black bars at the top and bottom of the image - these are wasted pixels that could be used. All that is needed for an amazingly affordable Constant Image Height setup is the AR lens, a way to scale the image, and a 2.35 aspect ratio screen.

In order to use all your projector's pixels with our lens you must first vertically stretch the image using the projector or video scaler. The image should look like the following picture prior to placing the AR lens in front of your projector to restore the image geometry. The projector is using all of its 16:9 aspect ratio imaging panel in this image.

The final picture shows the image how it was meant to be seen using all of the projector's pixels with the lens moved into place. The 2.35 Cinemascope image is now the largest aspect ratio in your theater and will give you denser pixel structure, higher brightness, as well as the envy of your friends!
